The function commands a DS18B20 answers once it has been addressed.

- CONVERT_
T - Start a temperature conversion; the result lands in the scratchpad.
- COPY_
SCRATCHPAD - Copy those three bytes from the scratchpad to the EEPROM.
- READ_
POWER_ SUPPLY - Answer one bit: 1 for external power, 0 for parasite power.
- READ_
SCRATCHPAD - Send the nine scratchpad bytes, CRC last.
- RECALL_
EEPROM - Reload the three EEPROM bytes into the scratchpad.
- WRITE_
SCRATCHPAD - Take the alarm thresholds and the configuration byte, three bytes in that order.
