Struct Transfer

A transfer in progress, held apart from its updater between pieces.

A Staging borrows its updater, which suits code that takes an image in one loop. Code that takes each piece in a call of its own, such as a binding or an event loop, detaches it between pieces and hands it to Updater::resume_from for the next, which carries the hash of what has arrived instead of reading it back from the slot.
